Our Staff

Jeffrey A Quam (JAQ) is the president and founder of the business, happy to be celebrating its 27th year of operation. Jeff is the general manager and coordinates the efforts of the rest of the staff. His career started as a VW/Audi technician and included technical training through VW/Audi. He is ASE certified in 7 of 8 technical categories and is active in the state service provider organization, AASP.

Harold Tenneson, originally a machinist by trade, is the shop MacGyver. He is inventive, creative and a problem solver. His specialty is European vehicles and has over 30 years of experience fixing and improving them. From your vintage VW to the latest model German Automobile, Harry makes it a point to repair each vehicle correctly and completely. Harry joined us in 1983 after 7 years of employment with a VW Audi dealership. He has completed the Registered Technician tests for VW/ Porsche/Audi. He also holds the ASE Master Automobile Technician certification.

James Bangs is our Asian vehicle specialist with emphasis on Honda. From maintenance services to chassis work to timing belts, Jim is a steady may with the tenacity to see the job through to the end. Jim has been with JAQ’S since completing his degree in Automotive Technology at Moorhead State Technical College in 1986. Jim is ASE certified in 7 of 8 mechanical specialty areas.  

Shaun Rode is the service advisor and he makes up the appointment schedule, and manages the technicians’ time. He consults with the technicians and customers to recommend the correct repair. Shaun is a graduate of North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton in Automotive Technology. He has recently graduated from the University of Mary with a BA in Business Management with minors in Theology and Philosophy. Shaun joined JAQ’S in 2001 and he is currently certified in 2 ASE specialty areas.

Kathie Seaver is our office person who works quietly behind the scenes keeping all the financial, record keeping and correspondence needs met. She has been with us since 2007 and is a major stress reliever, taking the pain out of small business office work.
